Eight Months

Weight: Still 20 pounds

You are officially a crawler!

We have been exploring all kinds of foods and love most.  You have tried BBQ beans, mashed potatoes, biscuit, apples, pears, broccoli, squash, blueberries, bananas, sweet potato puffs, blueberry puffs, apricots, potato salad, watermelon, avocado, and corn.  We are doing a combination on baby led weaning and baby purees.

Speaking of eating, this past month has been interesting.  You started to not drink a lot of milk while at school. That worried me, but the doctor said not to be concerned. However, within the past couple of days you have been drinking more milk at school, so I am assuming it is just a phase you are/were going through.

You are "talking" a lot more.  You have definitely found more of your voice this past month.  You also say "da da da" and "ba ba ba." Still no "ma ma ma" yet :(

When I put my arms out to you, you lift your arms out to me, too.

You pull up on everything.

You slept for the first time through the night! You fell asleep at your normal bedtime and didn't wake up until 4:45 in the morning to eat. That is very unheard of in our house especially since you still wake up 1-3 times a night to eat.

The doctor diagnosed you with allergies. It is really nothing to be alarmed of, but when I start seeing any systoms to go ahead and give you a small dosage of zyrtec to help. I am sorry you inherited that.

You have two teeth so far on the bottom.

You love to be outside. Whether it is taking a walk in the neighborhood or playing with bubbles in the back yard, you love it all.  You will stand at the back door and bang on it waiting for Blue to come up to it.

One thing you do not like is when Daddy or I take something away from you.  It can be a toy, a sippy cup, or solid food, if we take it away then a meltdown with crying and tears occurs.

You like bath time. We transitioned you to the big bath tub a couple weeks ago. You have so much fun playing with your toys in the tub. Most of the time when I take you out, you get very whinny.

You took your first trip to the lake this month and enjoyed getting in the water. But you did not like your life jacket.
